Why do you need to be certified? Nowadays, the competition to have a good job is very tight. This happens in all professions especially in Information Technology. This is because of the fast phase changing technology.

I am an IT person and it’s hard for me to get an IT job. They require a lot of skills and IT certifications. I love IT very much. I love to work on the hardware part especially on the computer network. I want to be a Network Administrator. One of my superior knew about what I want and told me that if I like to be Network Administrator then I need to study more about CISCO or network structure. He also mentioned that I need to learn more about Microsoft and active directories. I did enroll on some of the CISCO and Microsoft trainings. Those trainings helped me a lot and broaden my knowledge. After those trainings, I review a little before taking my exam. I read a lot of books and visited a lot of sites. I found a Cisco site that is really helpful. It will really boost your confidence. You’ll be inspired with their real life stories. The site will tell you about the latest Cisco certification. By reading on the site, you will know what different skills are required on different IT jobs. This way, you will know what IT job you really like.

Fortunately, I passed the Cisco certification. This really changed my life. With Cisco certification, I can now have the job I really wanted and demand on my salary. But still, any IT certification is nothing unless you have a career path and the drive to achieve it.
