I believe that calling overseas using your home phone or mobile phone is way too expensive and will end up higher bills monthly. So I am using calling cards to call overseas to talk to my dad and friends. This is what we are using when calling overseas because we can control the time and worries free for monthly bill. When your card ran out of time you can reload it and call again according to your budget.
This is also common to use calling from USA to India, Philippines and any part of the world or visa versa. So when you are out of your country and need to get in touch with your love ones using international calling card is more economical to save you more bucks.
